SWATCH MYSTERY VINTAGE TOUR 2010

SWATCH Roadster

Swatch expressed the wish to remind customers of vintage models by means of a special campaign and to boost the drive to collect in this way. RUN Retail United came up with the idea of promoting these watches throughout Switzerland as part of a so called „Vintage Mystery Tour“.

Consistent with Swatch‘s style and with an emphasis on the retro-chic of the products from the 1980s – an awesome decade – a Fiat Panda was bought and styled. The watches were showcased on a trailer and also directly sold, flanked by themes like the flamingos from Miami Vice. In addition, features like sales assistants in Cindy Lauper outfits and the appropriate 80s music topped off the appearance at carefully chosen events.


The tour saw the „Swatch Roadster“ travel through the whole of Switzerland: From the hip shoe fair „Sneakerness“ at Zurich‘s abandoned train station to a station in Lausanne and right across to the popular „blue balls“ festival at the Lake of Lucerne.

RUN ensured a timely execution of this innovative campaign and was responsible for the design and production of all event materials, in particular of course the cool, 80s-look Fiat Panda!
